Why using essential oils?

Essential oils are becoming more and more popular, especially as a natural way to improve physical and emotional health, for cooking, personal hygiene and much more. Here are some reasons to consider using essential oils in your everyday life:

1. Essential oils are natural and safe.

Essential oils are composed of natural compounds, which means that they offer a safe and natural way to care for you and your family. They are adaptogens which means that they stabilize the physiological processes in our body and promote homeostasis bringing balance to our body. The essential oils are not medicine however they help the system to respond adequately to any internal or external threats. They do not lead to addiction and they are safe to use even on babies with the respective dilution.

2. They can be used to promote relaxation and improve mood.

There are 3 ways of using essential oils: aromatic – breathe in or diffuse, topical – apply on the bottom of the feel or massage, and internal* - drop in a glass of water, under the tongue or in a veggie capsule. Diffusing the right combination of essential oils can elevate your mood or create a relaxing environment. Using citrus essential oils in your diffuser in the morning or a drop in a glass of water is a guarantee for a good start of the day. For an evening relaxation after a long day at work, a good choice would be diffusing essential oils with calming proprieties ie. lavender, frankincense or vetiver. You may choose to take a warm bath with a couple of drops of your favourite essential oil or else massage your feet and neck to promote a nice relaxing feeling.

3. They can be used to treat a variety of health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and respiratory issues.

It is well-known fact that essential oils are beneficial for our emotional well-being as well as the physical body. What makes them efficient is the immediate response of our body. It takes 22 sec for the essential oil to reach our brain, 2 min to enter our bloodstream and 20 min to reach every cell of our body. Some essential oils are soothing, toning, and grounding, while others are energizing, warming, and renewing—but all essential oils are natural. The variety of essential oils allows you to naturally and effectively address your specific concerns. You can tailor them to your specific wants and needs due to their versatility. People love that they can use essential oils for a variety of tasks, without having to buy multiple products.

4. They are easy to use and can be added to many different types of products, including skincare products, body care products, and candles.

A wide range of essential oils is commonly used in cosmetic products like perfumes, toothpaste and mouthwashes, lotions, skincare products and more. Not only do essential oils lend their lovely scents to cosmetics, but they also have powerful benefits that make them useful for personal care. They can be added to your day or night cream, to your tooth past to promote healthy gums, and to your shampoo for shiny and healthier hair. The most fun is that you can create unique home products i.e. lip balm, body butter, sun cream, soap, candle or detangle spray. For a bolder taste, you may add essential oils to your favourite smoothie, soup, salad or cookies.

5. They are environmentally friendly and can be used instead of chemical-based products.

Since they’re so potent and contain cleansing properties, essential oils can also be used for cleaning the house. Not only are they effective, but they also provide a natural alternative to cleaning with products that contain potentially dangerous chemicals. The secret is in the chemical components of the oil which give its specific benefits. Due to their versatile nature, one single oil can be used for different areas of the home giving you the peace of mind for a nontoxic product and leaving a fresh aroma around.
